Skysupply partners with CleanHub - Introducing CleanHub’s mission at World Travel Catering & Onboard Services EXPO

Skysupply is thrilled to announce its partnership with CleanHub, a Berlin-based start-up that collects , sorts, and recycles plastic waste from coastal areas and waterways in regions without waste management systems. At the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services EXPO in Hamburg, Skysupply and CleanHub invite visitors to a presentation by CleanHub VP Rory Dyer to learn more about the start-up’s mission and about their partnership with Skysupply. The event will take place in hall A4 at Skysupply’s booth #4D30 on May 29, 2024 at 1:15 pm.

Recovery of 17,000 kilograms of plastic waste

CleanHub empowers brands to take immediate action on one of the biggest environmental issues the world faces today: the global plastic crisis. CleanHub plans to prevent 50% of new ocean plastic by 2030, and it provides conscious brands like Skysupply an easy way to be a part of this mission. On behalf of Skysupply, CleanHub will prevent 17,000 kg of plastic waste per year from entering the oceans. This is the equivalent of 1.7 million plastic bottles (0.5 liters).

Taking action on land to protect the oceans

CleanHub is focusing on taking action on land, rather than at sea. By bringing waste collection hubs to coastal regions where they do not already exist, plastic and other materials are collected on a large scale and properly disposed of. So far, there are six waste management hubs in Indonesia, India, Tanzania, and Cambodia. At the heart of the project is an app developed by the CleanHub founders that documents each collection. Photos are uploaded at every step, and artificial intelligence meticulously analyzes them, checking weight, condition, and GPS data of the collected plastic. True sustainability, not only by protecting the environment, but also by creating jobs and supporting communities in the countries in which they operate.

Skysupply - Pioneering Environmental Solutions

#recycle, #renew, #reuse and #reimagine are the cornerstones of Skysupply’s commitment to sustainability. With each new amenity kit collection and brand partnership, Skysupply creates innovative approaches to sustainable design and development, integrating materials such as paper pulp, kraft paper, bamboo amenities, and more. Constantly seeking ways to reduce plastic consumption and preserve natural resources, the company’s collaboration with CleanHub adds an additional tool to efficiently address plastic waste, moving Skysupply even closer to achieve net zero plastic usage.
